Transak has teamed up with Ronin, an EVM-compatible blockchain focused on Web3 gaming, to streamline fiat-to-crypto transactions and NFT purchases. This partnership aims to simplify how users interact with the Ronin ecosystem, making it more accessible for a global audience.
The integration allows users on the Ronin network to purchase key tokens such as RON, USDC, WETH, and SLP directly with fiat currencies. Supported payment methods include credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other localized options, available in over 160 countries.
Jeff Zirlin, Sky Mavis Co-Founder and Chief Growth Officer, highlighted the importance of this development, stating, “We’re thrilled to welcome Transak to the Ronin ecosystem, further expanding the options for users to seamlessly onramp into Ronin. With Transak, we’re making it easier than ever to acquire RON and engage with the Ronin ecosystem. Sky Mavis is on a mission to bring economic freedom to everyone, and making Ronin easier to access is a big part of that.”
Transak’s partnership also introduces a direct NFT Checkout feature on Mavis Market, Ronin’s official NFT marketplace. With this tool, users can buy NFTs directly using fiat, skipping the need to first acquire cryptocurrency. This innovation mirrors the simplicity of traditional online shopping, making NFTs more accessible to new users.
Sami Start, CEO of Transak, explained the value of this feature, saying, “At Transak, we believe that buying NFTs should be as intuitive as shopping online. That’s why we built the most advanced NFT Checkout in the industry that is specifically useful for the Web3 gaming industry and platforms like Ronin.”
The collaboration addresses major obstacles that have hindered the adoption of blockchain gaming and NFTs. By offering a straightforward, user-friendly experience, Transak and Ronin are opening doors for more users to explore digital assets without the steep learning curve often associated with blockchain technology.
