As of March 31, 2024, there were 118 million monthly active members on the PlayStation Network, indicating a significant increase in user engagement. This indicates consistent growth and engagement within the PlayStation ecosystem, as seen by the 10 million additional users from the prior fiscal year.
The quarter witnessed a strong success in the combined sales of PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 software, hitting 72.6 million units. By comparison, this is a significant rise of 4.6 million units over the same time in the prior fiscal year. 12.3 million units were sold of first-party games, which is a noteworthy increase over the previous fiscal year’s sales data. Moreover, complete game software digital downloads saw a notable increase, accounting for 77% of software sales overall, an increase of 7% from the previous fiscal year.
