The team behind Pixels, a popular blockchain game, is ramping up excitement with various giveaways and challenges in anticipation of their upcoming PIXEL token airdrop. While the token’s launch is just around the corner, the Pixels team is actively engaging the community with enticing rewards.
Recently, Pixels initiated a giveaway campaign that includes free in-game non-fungible tokens (NFTs), Ronin (RON) tokens, and vouchers for a complimentary in-game VIP membership. Usually costing $10 per month, this VIP membership offers players premium benefits in the game.
This campaign kicked off on Wednesday on Twitter, where players had the opportunity to win a Farm Land plot NFT. These Ethereum-based NFTs are valued at around 1.6 ETH, equivalent to nearly $3,500, on secondary markets. Additionally, Pixels is set to offer more rewards through “daily tasks” within its web-based farming and social game starting from Thursday.
Luke Barwikowski, the founder of Pixels, mentioned in a recent livestream that the PIXEL token launch is imminent. He clarified that there would be no further play-to-airdrop campaigns before the token’s official debut.
Pixels has conducted two such campaigns to date, rewarding approximately 28,000 eligible wallets with in-game incentives. Although no new earning opportunities will be introduced before the airdrop, Barwikowski confirmed that post-launch, the game will feature its own play-to-earn rewards.
