Oasys Partners with SK Planet to Enhance Web3 Gaming in South Korea

Share

Leading gaming blockchain in Japan, Oasys, has partnered with SK Telecom subsidiary SK Planet, a well-known South Korean IT company. This partnership is a significant step toward increasing Oasys’s impact and improving user interaction in the Web3 gaming space.

SK Planet will join the Oasys network as a major validator as a result of this new partnership. Users can now utilize their wallets to stake OAS tokens directly on SK Planet’s node thanks to this improvement. More specifically, Oasys Hub will effortlessly interact with UPTN Station, SK Planet’s wallet service. Furthermore, UPTN Station will expand its integration to include games on Oasys L2 chains, providing developers and players with an easier-to-use interface.

Leveraging SK Planet’s Extensive Network

One of the primary objectives of this partnership is to drive user adoption of Web3 games. SK Planet, known for its widespread reach through OK Cashbag—a loyalty program associated with 75,000 stores and 28 million members in South Korea—will serve as a powerful conduit for attracting gamers to the Oasys ecosystem.

This alliance will establish a new channel dedicated to gamers, incorporating UPTN Station’s upcoming community features to introduce users to a diverse array of gaming content on Oasys. Through targeted campaigns, the partnership aims to boost user engagement and foster growth in the Web3 gaming space.

Jung Incheul, team leader at SK Planet, expressed his enthusiasm about the venture, stating, “We hope that this business agreement will allow customers to enjoy the web3 environment more easily and conveniently. We expect great synergy in the future as we combine the capabilities of both companies, such as introducing Oasys network’s content IP to customers through the UPTN Station.”

Oasys director Daiki Moriyama echoed this excitement, noting that the collaboration will significantly enhance Web3 adoption in South Korea. “This partnership will not only provide game developers with a broader platform for exposure but also offer gamers a richer variety of content,” Moriyama added.

This strategic partnership between Oasys and SK Planet marks a pivotal moment in the evolution of Web3 gaming. By integrating with SK Planet’s robust platform and extensive user base, Oasys is set to revolutionize the gaming experience, driving greater adoption and engagement in the Web3 space.
