A new PGA Tour–licensed golf game is quietly lining up for a 2026 debut, and it is not built like a typical sports title. PGA Tour Rise aims to mix competitive golf with long-term strategy, digital ownership, and real-world rewards, all inside a mobile-first experience.
Rather than focusing only on match results or leaderboards, PGA Tour Rise positions progression as an ongoing system. Strategy choices influence long-term outcomes, while asset ownership adds another layer of engagement tied to player decisions.
Good to Know
Solis Interactive plans to release PGA Tour Rise in early 2026, bringing an officially licensed PGA Tour game to mobile with a different angle. Players will still tee off and compete through familiar golf gameplay, but progression does not stop on the fairway.
The game layers in strategic management, asking players to grow a golf empire over time. Resource allocation, course upgrades, and facility development all shape performance and progression. The structure rewards planning just as much as shot execution, shifting the experience beyond standard sports simulation.
Real-world incentives sit alongside in-game goals. Through partnerships with major golf equipment brands, players can unlock rewards such as merchandise access and equipment discounts tied directly to gameplay milestones.
Digital ownership plays a central role in PGA Tour Rise. In-game assets function as NFTs, giving players the ability to own, trade, and sell items earned through play. Asset creation runs on the SKALE blockchain, selected for fast processing and minimal transaction costs.
Jay Klauminzer, co-founder at Solis Interactive, said:
“We evaluated dozens of blockchain partners before landing on SKALE. Their platform lets us focus on building great gameplay instead of worrying about transaction costs killing the user experience. For a strategy game where players are constantly trading and upgrading, seamless transactions are essential.”
That focus aims to keep blockchain mechanics in the background, avoiding interruptions during frequent upgrades and asset exchanges.
PGA Tour Rise will become the first title to deploy the SKALE on Base solution. The setup pairs the Base interface with SKALE infrastructure, simplifying onboarding while supporting fiat conversion through Coinbase layer two rails.
The approach targets accessibility for players unfamiliar with crypto systems. Wallet setup, asset interaction, and payments aim to feel closer to traditional mobile gaming while still offering full digital ownership behind the scenes.
SKALE Labs chief executive Jack O’Holleran highlighted the broader ambition behind the launch, saying:
“We’re incredibly proud to support the launch of this innovative golf game, developed in partnership with the PGA TOUR and Solis Interactive. This collaboration showcases how blockchain can elevate gaming and sports experience by combining the prestige of the PGA TOUR with true ownership through crypto digital assets. With the PGA Tour popularity, we view this as an opportunity to onboard the next 10 million users into web3 gaming.”
