Parasol was purchased by Mysten Labs, the blockchain infrastructure startup that created the Walrus Protocol and Sui, in order to speed up the production of web3 games. By giving developers easier tools to incorporate blockchain technology into their games, this calculated step seeks to improve gaming experiences on the Sui network.

Parasol specializes in making blockchain integration simple for developers. Their platform offers REST APIs that grant access to essential on-chain gameplay mechanics, marketplaces, and in-game item tokenization. By integrating these tools, game developers can incorporate web3 features effortlessly without sacrificing quality.
Mysten Labs plans to leverage Parasol’s expertise to bring more game developers and studios onto the Sui blockchain. This acquisition will also introduce Parasol’s existing gaming partners into the Sui ecosystem, further expanding its network.
