Mocaverse, backed by Animoca Brands, has launched a strategic initiative to extend its partner network into South Korea, aiming to facilitate the integration and promotion of Korean Web3 culture across various sectors, including K-pop, digital IP, and GameFi. This move involves collaborations with leading Korean entities such as Cube Entertainment, IPX, Planetarium Labs, Gomble Games, and Bellygom by LOTTE Group, marking the beginning of a comprehensive activation plan.
The heart of this expansion is Moca ID, Mocaverse’s blockchain-based identity system designed for the Web3 gaming, culture, and entertainment sectors. Moca ID holders will gain exclusive access to a range of experiences and content crafted in collaboration with some of South Korea’s premier brands. These partnerships are set to offer Moca NFT and Moca ID holders unique opportunities to dive into specially designed Web3 games and experiences, earn exclusive rewards, and participate in creative collaborations.
Among the planned initiatives are a mashup video featuring (G)I-DLE in collaboration with Mocaverse, based on their hit song “Queencard,” and a cross-over project with the LINE Friends collection. These efforts aim to engage fans more deeply and attract new users to the Web3 ecosystem.
Statements from executives and partners underscore the collaborative enthusiasm and strategic vision behind this expansion. Alan Lau, chief business officer of Animoca Brands, stated, “Mocaverse is the hub of culture and entertainment in Web3, and we’re excited to bring our expertise across industries as South Korea becomes one of our core markets to watch in 2024. We see powerful opportunities for cross-project co-creation and celebrity-fan interaction.”
