Animoca Brands’ Mocaverse has announced a new partnership with MOCA Foundation and The Open Network (TON) Foundation. This collaboration aims to establish an identity and reputation-based consumer network across the Moca Network and TON Blockchain ecosystems.
The agreement includes a token swap between MOCA Coin (MOCA) and Toncoin, priced at $0.113 per MOCA Coin. This swap is designed to boost ecosystem growth and user engagement across both networks.
A key part of the plan involves using go-to-market and token resources to drive user engagement. Moca ID, a decentralized identifier, will be integrated with the TON Society ID framework. This integration will support user growth by allowing users to express their identity and values on-chain.
To further consumer growth, Mocaverse and the foundations will utilize the Realm Network SDK and the Telegram Mini App Platform. The collaboration will focus on onboarding users and managing data across various TON ecosystem apps.
In addition, the partnership will launch co-branded hackathons and an accelerator to support developers. They will also present qualifying projects to investors within their networks. MOCA Coin and Toncoin, valued at $20 million, will be used to incentivize developer and user adoption through joint airdrops via TON’s The Open League and Moca Network’s PointFi platform.
Mocaverse will act as the execution arm for the strategic goals of both foundations. The partnership aims to develop an identity and reputation system for consumer products and users. Animoca Brands’ ecosystem, which includes over 450 portfolio companies, will provide cultural and entertainment content to the TON ecosystem, the official Web3 infrastructure of Telegram Messenger, which has over 900 million active users.
A steering committee will be established to drive partnership initiatives and explore further collaboration opportunities.
