The Web3-focused business of LINE, LINE NEXT Inc., has formally unveiled its cutting-edge Mini Dapps and Dapp Portal, which are driven by the Kaia blockchain. By offering simple access to a range of decentralized applications without requiring additional downloads, this new platform seeks to improve the Web3 user experience. These services, which are accessible everywhere and are seamlessly integrated into LINE Messenger, give consumers an easy method to explore Web3 content.
Mini Dapps, now available on LINE Messenger, allow users to interact with a diverse range of decentralized applications right from the app’s interface. These apps cover multiple categories, including games, social media, and Web3-enabled content. What sets Mini Dapps apart is the ease of access—users don’t need to install a separate app. Instead, they can explore, discover, and engage with these services directly through the Dapp Portal’s Official Account on LINE Messenger.
Additionally, the Dapp Portal allows users to find specific Mini Dapps via LINE Official Accounts, the service for brands and enterprises on the platform. As users engage with Dapps, they can earn rewards, trade digital assets, and even manage NFTs through an in-app wallet. LINE NEXT also plans to integrate the Dapp Portal within the LINE Messenger home tab and launch a web version of the portal in the near future.
The launch of Mini Dapps is the result of a collaboration between LINE NEXT and the Kaia DLT Foundation, aimed at fostering the growth of the Kaia public blockchain ecosystem. Under the Kaia Wave program, the first 32 Mini Dapps were developed, including popular titles like Bombie and Cattea from Pluto Studio, which gained 43 million users in just six months. Other notable Dapps include Captain Tsubasa -RIVALS- based on the famous soccer manga and Superz, a health-focused Dapp designed for non-crypto users.
