The Sandbox has introduced a new CATALYST claim event designed exclusively for LAND owners, offering them an opportunity to boost the utility and value of their holdings. The initiative rewards creativity and engagement across the platform, giving creators new tools to enhance their assets and increase their marketplace visibility.
Good to Know
CATALYSTs are central to The Sandbox ecosystem. They determine the rarity and strength of in-game assets created within VoxEdit, influencing their desirability and market value. Each CATALYST defines how scarce or powerful a digital item will be once minted, effectively shaping the economic dynamics inside the platform’s marketplace.
To qualify, LAND owners must meet three conditions before the snapshot date:
Roughly three weeks after the October 17 snapshot, eligible users will gain access to the claim page through their account dashboards. The event will remain open for three months, giving participants ample time to secure their rewards.
The CATALYST allocation follows a point-based system that considers both the quantity and type of LAND, as well as creative activity. Here’s how it works:
Additional bonuses will apply for those who own multiple plots or have already published Experiences — interactive projects developed within their LAND.
Once claimed, CATALYSTs can be used in VoxEdit to mint new assets and decide their rarity tier. The minted assets can then be listed on The Sandbox Marketplace, enabling creators to earn revenue and expand their visibility among collectors and players.
The Sandbox team encourages all LAND owners to double-check their verification status and publish at least one Experience before the snapshot to maximize potential rewards. For newcomers, this claim event serves as a strong incentive to purchase LAND and become part of the platform’s creator economy — an ecosystem where imagination directly translates into opportunity.
