This triumph placed him at the top of the ESL R1 Drivers’ rankings with 183 points, guaranteeing his spot in the EWC finals.
Scheduled for August 22-25 in Riyadh, the EWC promises intense competition with 48 drivers vying for a substantial $100,000 prize purse. The winning driver will take home $25,000, while Team Porsche could win up to $170,000 in the team competition. Rogers’ participation is expected to attract significant attention, particularly from Australian sports bettors who have traditionally focused on horse racing.

Integrated energy and chemicals company Aramco recently announced an extension of their partnership with the eSports World Cup Foundation (EWCF). Themed ‘The Future of Fandom,’ the conference will explore how fan engagement is transforming the gaming industry, creating opportunities for unique experiences, innovative revenue streams, and technological advancements.
The NGSC aims to support the growth of gaming and eSports in Saudi Arabia, aligning with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to become a global gaming hub. This year’s event, featuring multiple stages and workshops, will host around 800 guests, bringing together industry leaders to discuss the future of eSports, sports, and gaming. Following the success of last year’s NGSC, which announced the launch of the EWC, the 2024 conference will include a grand closing ceremony and the newly announced eSports Awards.
