Players Can Expect More Gear and Guild Battles in Immortal Rising 2 This Year

Immortal Rising 2 is laying out its goals for the rest of 2025, and the development team has made it clear they are listening to feedback and adjusting their pace. After a rocky first half of the year, players can now look ahead to some new systems and features that aim to enhance the experience and make the Web3 RPG feel more responsive and dynamic.

Good to know

  • SSS-grade Symbols are already live, adding more depth to combat strategies.
  • Guild War will let players fight solo to help their guild control areas.
  • A Skin System with stat bonuses is on the way in Q3.

The 2H roadmap for Immortal Rising 2 focuses on four main updates: a new SSS-grade Equipment Set, Guild War mode, a Skin System, and the recently released SSS-grade Symbols. Each feature adds something new to the gameplay mix, whether it is strategy, competition, or customization.

SSS-grade Symbols were the first feature to go live, having launched on July 17. These powerful items offer better stats and traits that allow players to fine-tune their character builds for specific goals. Whether it is higher damage output or enhanced survivability, these Symbols give more options for planning tactics and progression.

Looking ahead, the team is preparing to roll out the third SSS-grade Equipment Set. Still in development, this set promises a fresh take on combat flow. The goal is to create gear that plays differently from what is already in the game, offering players “a new tempo and tactical approach.” While the exact details are under wraps for now, the devs want it to offer a new layer of depth when planning how to approach battles.

The roadmap also outlines the Guild War system, which is designed to bring collaborative competition into the spotlight. Players will still fight solo in PvE scenarios, but their victories help their guilds vie for territorial control. Weekly Guild Wars will let groups capture parts of the map and earn points for doing so. These points go toward Monthly Guild Rankings, and top guilds will receive rewards like Starlight, the game’s valuable in-game currency.

Cosmetic fans can also get excited about the Skin System, set to arrive sometime in Q3. The update will let players collect different armor styles, each with its own look and lore. On top of aesthetics, the skins will provide passive stat boosts that grow as more are collected. The team says they want every skin to feel meaningful and reflect each player’s individual journey.

According to GM Dubu, the updated roadmap reflects lessons learned from earlier delays:

“In early 2025, we shared an ambitious roadmap filled with new content goals. However, due to real-world development challenges and limited team resources, we weren’t able to deliver every update on time, and for that, we sincerely apologize.”

He added that the team is now taking a more focused approach for Q3, saying:

“We’re not backing down… now that we have more experience and community feedback to work with, Q3 is being handled with a more grounded approach.”

Play and Earn in Immortal Rising 2

Immortal Rising 2 is a free-to-play idle RPG built on the Immutable zkEVM chain and published by Planetarium Labs, the same team behind Nine Chronicles. The game blends dark fantasy themes with fast-paced combat and character customization through an expansive skill tree. It is available now on both Android and iOS.

The game uses a play-and-earn system built around the $IMT token. Players earn Starlight from in-game activities like leaderboards and quests, and they can convert that to $IMT, which functions as the governance token. You can also stake Starlight through the Star Vault to earn more of it or convert it into Stardust, which is used to craft items. $IMT was launched on Immutable zkEVM and can be traded via QuickSwap and other exchanges.
