HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar Bin Sultan Al Saud Assumes Presidency of IESF

At a critical juncture in the International Esports Federation’s (IESF) history, HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud has assumed the role of President, in an unprecedented step. The election, held during an emergency general meeting in the energetic city of Busan, South Korea, received 71 votes in favor, providing a resounding support. Up until 2025, HRH Prince Faisal will continue to serve as leader.

A Visionary Leader for Global Esports Collaboration

Following Vlad Marinescu’s voluntary retirement on October 3, 2023, HRH Prince Faisal assumed leadership as Acting President, bringing with him a wealth of expertise and a revolutionary vision for the IESF. Recognized for his crucial contribution to the esports industry’s ascent in Saudi Arabia, he is well-positioned to guide the federation in fulfilling its objective of promoting ethical and sustainable gaming standards worldwide.

“I am honored to lead the International Esports Federation into a new era of collaboration, innovation, and global recognition,” expressed HRH Prince Faisal. “eSports has the power to unite individuals from all corners of the world through a common love for gaming. Boban Totovski, the IESF Secretary General, praised the appointment and emphasized Prince Faisal’s unmatched commitment to the esports industry. Totovski expects a smooth working relationship, particularly in light of the World Esports Championships coming up in 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
