Skrice Studios, who created the immensely popular Web3 phenomenon “Heroes of Mavia,” has made a revolutionary move by introducing the Mavia DAO, which marks the beginning of a new age in which the gaming environment will be governed by its community.
By combining a decentralized structure with a proposal method to direct the distribution of the Mavia Foundation’s Ecosystem Fund, the Mavia DAO symbolizes a paradigm change in governance dynamics. Underpinned by the ideals of openness, unity, creativity, distinctiveness, agility, and impactfulness, it seeks to develop a strong and self-sustaining ecosystem.
With membership open to anyone holding at least 1 $MAVIA token, the DAO offers a platform for active participation through proposal discussions, voting, and submission.
Through the game’s official Discord channel, users participate in lively debates and submit proposals known as Mavia Improvement Proposals (MIPs). Snapshot is used for voting, and each $MAVIA token is equal to one vote. Interestingly, voting does not come with a petrol tax.
The six-step proposal journey ensures a thorough and inclusive decision-making process. It consists of the following stages: ideation, debate, review, vote, finalization, and execution.
The four areas in which the proposals are divided are aimed at addressing different facets of the gaming industry. What is meant by “gameplay improvements” is the addition of new features or the modification of current ones in order to promote ongoing progress. In the meanwhile, measures for maximizing resource consumption are discussed in “Ecosystem Fund Allocation”.
Proposals categorized as “brand decision” concentrate on collaborations, projects, or alliances essential to the Mavia IP or DAO, promoting a unified ecosystem. Last but not least, “process changes” address methodological alterations or implementation tweaks, optimizing operations for further expansion and development.
