Share

By announcing the Bad News Eagles, their most recent lineup, Guild Esports has made a big splash in the Counter-Strike esports scene. The group, which included Dionis “sinnopsyy” Budeci, Flatron “juanflatroo” Halimi, Sener “SENER1” Mahuti, Rigon “rigoN” Gashi, and Genc “gxx-” Kolgeci, made history in 2022 by being the first team from the Albanian-Kosovar area to advance to a Major qualifier (RMR).

The Bad News Eagles have accomplished a great deal, such as qualifying for the Legends round in three Counter-Strike Majors and earning $96,000 in prize money in 2023 alone. They have a sizable fan base with over 112,000 Twitter followers, 297,000 Twitch followers, and 137,000 Instagram followers as a result of their journey from modest beginnings in Kosovan internet cafés to international recognition.

The experienced backroom group that the Guild Eagles will have at their disposal consists of manager James “BanKs” Banks, who is joining Guild as a consultant, analyst Kieran “KayJay” Playfair, assistant coach Kevin “Krystal” Amend, head coach Jonatan “Devilwalk” Lundberg, and analyst KayJay Lundberg.

Embracing the Future with Counter-Strike 2 (CS2)

With the release of Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), Guild Esports is moving forward with Counter-Strike. Through the “Elite Performance Programme,” a specialized coaching and education program, Guild Esports hopes to improve the performance of its CS2 squad in collaboration with the comprehensive coaching organization Ground+Air.

Ground+Air will provide one-on-one coaching and team development sessions. Ground+Air is well-known for its proficiency in creating programs for a variety of industries, including elite professional football and racing. Guild Esports intends to bring both established and up-and-coming teams under its auspices with this initiative.
