The well-known sports brand Descente and the dominant global esports organization Gen.G Esports have partnered to introduce a new League of Legends World Championship (Worlds) uniform for 2024. This is Descente’s first foray into the world of esports, in line with Gen.G’s audacious plan to win the Worlds 2024 championship. The partnership seeks to combine the essence of professional gaming with high-performance sportswear, providing a new aesthetic that embodies Gen. G’s self-assurance and resolve.
The Worlds 2024 uniform, crafted in partnership between Gen.G and Descente, features a sleek two-piece set, including a jersey and jacket. The “Worlds White” design captures Gen.G’s belief in victory, enhanced by the iconic gold lines of the Gen.G logo across the uniform. At the center, the Descente brand name sits boldly, slashed by a tiger claw—a nod to Gen.G’s fierce mascot, symbolizing the resilience and fight required to triumph at the highest level.
Gen.G CEO Arnold Hur expressed his excitement about the new collaboration: “We’re excited to be able to announce this new partnership with Descente at Worlds 2024. With this launch, we wanted to pay homage to Descente’s history of high performance and innovation to deliver a product for our fans that reimagines our team’s look and celebrates the difficult journey to win Worlds.”
Following a strong season in the LCK and MSI, Gen.G has set high expectations for Worlds 2024. Mid laner Chovy Jung Ji-hun shared his enthusiasm, stating, “With our good performance in LCK and MSI, we were able to quickly qualify for Worlds. The uniform will be officially revealed on September 25 through Gen.G’s social media channels, with pre-sales available exclusively for Gen.G Crew members. From September 30, fans can purchase the uniform on Gen.G’s official online store. Throughout the tournament, Gen.G plans to engage fans with exclusive membership content and viewing parties, further immersing them in the Worlds experience.
