GameCentric, a Dubai-based gaming tournament platform, has teamed up with distributed GPU network Aethir. This strategic alliance aims to enhance GameCentric’s Web3 gaming capabilities, expanding its offerings significantly.
With over 160,000 active users playing across 50 Web2 games, GameCentric plans to broaden its support to hundreds of blockchain titles. As part of this initiative, the platform will also introduce its own GCVC token, which will be integral to its new ecosystem.
The partnership with Aethir will enable the launch of a non-custodial wallet and a more robust marketplace. This development promises to create a seamless transition for gamers moving between Web2 and Web3 platforms. Furthermore, GameCentric’s established presence in the MENA and Indian markets will aid Aethir in enhancing regional distribution as it continues to develop its Aethir Edge cloud network hardware.
GameCentric CEO Saad Khan shared his enthusiasm: “This collaboration with Aethir marks a significant milestone in our web3 expansion. It reinforces our dedication to delivering a smooth web3 gaming experience and accelerates our vision of establishing a fully decentralized ecosystem where players can own, trade, and monetize their in-game assets.”
Aethir’s Chief Revenue Officer, Paul Thind, stressed the need for scalable infrastructure in gaming. He noted that integrating with Aethir’s decentralized cloud framework will empower GameCentric to raise the bar for secure and seamless gaming experiences. This partnership is set to meet the evolving demands of the gaming community.
As both companies work together, players can expect an enriched Web3 gaming experience that combines innovation and accessibility.
