Floki, a prominent name in the gaming industry, has launched a significant advertising initiative for its play-to-earn MMORPG, Valhalla. This extensive campaign is set to run throughout the remainder of the year and will focus on capturing the attention of English Premier League (EPL) enthusiasts during the 2024-25 season.
The English Premier League, renowned as the world’s most-watched sports league, eclipses other major tournaments in viewership and reach. Nielsen reports that during the 2022-23 season, the EPL attracted a staggering 3.23 billion viewers globally. Of these, 2.01 billion watched live broadcasts across 190 countries, and the league’s highlight shows drew 1.22 billion fans.
Moreover, the EPL’s influence extends to social media. With a combined total of 240 million followers on Facebook, 157 million on Instagram, and 56 million on TikTok, the league’s digital presence is formidable. The Valhalla campaign will harness these platforms to maximize its exposure. Additionally, the campaign will engage with 123 million followers on X (formerly Twitter) and 28 million on YouTube.
Floki’s ambitious campaign is designed to ensure Valhalla garners significant visibility. The initiative will deploy ads across a variety of channels, including social media, online platforms, mobile devices, and traditional broadcast channels. The estimated reach of this campaign is over 200 million people, with expectations of 1.2 billion impressions. Ads will be displayed for nearly 440 hours, offering extensive coverage.
In Europe, the campaign is anticipated to generate around 81 million impressions, while Asia and Oceania are projected to contribute 47 million impressions. Africa is expected to see about 48 million impressions, translating to nearly 34 hours of on-screen time, thus enhancing Valhalla’s global footprint.
Valhalla invites players into an expansive open world steeped in Norse mythology. In the game, players can tame and train mystical creatures known as Veras, teaming up with others for a unique online experience.
