Fantasy sports enthusiasts using Sorare will see a significant change in the platform’s Referral Program this October. Instead of awarding digital player cards, Sorare is introducing Referral Credits.
The key shift is the introduction of these Referral Credits. These credits, which essentially act as coupons, allow managers to purchase digital player cards. This move comes in response to community feedback, emphasizing a desire for more versatile reward options.
Until the new program rolls out, every time someone you introduce buys a starter pack or 5 new cards within a month of joining, you’ll get credits. These credits translate to a 50% discount on Primary Market buys, capping at €20/£20/$20. But there’s a catch: if not used within a week, these credits vanish. And, any card bought using these credits remains unsellable for two weeks.
After the revamp goes live, both the person referring and the one joining receive this 50% discount on the Primary Market, with the same credit and resale rules applying.
Further sweetening the deal, for every new player you refer who fits the criteria, your credit accumulation increases. For instance, with two referrals in one day, your discount doubles, allowing a 50% deduction on Primary Market buys up to €40/£40/$40.
Sorare continues to value milestones. Three successful referrals grant you a Tier 2 Limited Card. With five, you earn a Tier 4 Rare Card. Ten brings a Tier 3 Rare Card, 15 referrals lead to a Tier 4 Super Rare, and if you hit 30, you’re looking at a Tier 4 Unique Card.
