To promote the WAVES Esports Championship 2025 (WESC25), the Esports Federation of India (ESFI) has teamed up with 8Bit Creatives, a top esports talent management company. The goal of this partnership is to reach India’s dynamic youth audience by utilizing the power of outreach and content production.
Organized by ESFI, WESC25 is a flagship initiative supported by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. It falls under the Create in India Challenges of the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES), aiming to bolster India’s esports and creator economy.
With a talented lineup of gaming content creators, including names like Naman Mathur (Mortal), Payal Dhare (PayalGaming), Raj Varma (Snax), and Kaashvi Hiranandani (KaashPlays), 8Bit Creatives will enhance WESC25’s visibility. These creators will engage in interactive activities, connect with fans, and bring excitement to the championship.
“WESC 2025 represents a tremendous leap forward for the Indian esports community. We are delighted to have 8Bit Creatives and their popular gaming creators on board, whose expertise will undoubtedly help amplify the event’s reach and impact,” said Lokesh Suji, Director of ESFI and Vice President of the Asian Esports Federation (AESF).
WESC25 will feature tournaments in eFootball and World Cricket Championship (WCC), spanning four phases and culminating in a Grand Final. The event embraces inclusivity, with gender-inclusive formats and registrations open for upcoming phases of eFootball and WCC3. Notably, Phase 1 eFootball winner MrTomBoy recently secured a bronze medal at the Asian Esports Games in Bangkok, underscoring the championship’s competitive caliber.
Animesh Agarwal, CEO of 8Bit Creatives, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership: “WAVES 2025 marks a groundbreaking chapter in India’s esports journey. As a leading talent hub, 8Bit Creatives brings unparalleled energy and scale to this initiative. This is more than a partnership; it’s a platform to showcase esports as a viable career path while highlighting government support for the gaming ecosystem.”
8Bit Creatives also celebrated global recognition, with its S8UL division winning ‘Content Group of the Year’ at the Esports Awards 2024 for the third consecutive year. Earlier this year, its founders joined Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a roundtable discussion on advancing India’s gaming industry.
