Animoca Brands is strengthening its partnership with Cross the Ages, backing the fantasy and sci-fi project as it prepares to release its new multiplayer game, Arise. This collaboration deepens Animoca’s involvement in the Cross the Ages ecosystem, adding financial and strategic support just months ahead of the game’s scheduled launch.
Good to know
Cross the Ages, a transmedia project that blends blockchain gaming with digital storytelling, is preparing to roll out Arise, a multiplayer RPG built using Unreal Engine 5. The game will first launch on PC, with versions for Mac and other platforms to follow. Players will be able to take on various roles, from dungeon fighters to resource gatherers, and help shape the game economy through their in-game choices.
The gameplay is designed around community interaction, with dungeons, PvP combat, crafting, and trading forming the core loop. Arise aims to support different playstyles while encouraging players to build and collaborate within the game’s digital world.
Animoca Brands is not only offering strategic advice on token design and marketing for Arise but is also involved in boosting liquidity for the CTA token. The token acts as the foundation of the Cross the Ages ecosystem, powering both in-game mechanics and other blockchain-driven components such as NFTs and real-world integrations.
Alongside its support for Arise, Animoca will also help refine and promote Blast, the next evolution of Cross the Ages’ trading card game. The company had already led an investment round in Cross the Ages in 2024, and has now begun acquiring more CTA tokens on the open market to further support the project.
Arise is expected to go live in Q4 2025. Until then, the CTA ecosystem continues expanding across gaming, NFTs, and digital media.
