Crypto.com has signed a new agreement with NEXPACE, a blockchain-focused division of gaming leader Nexon, to expand the use of cryptocurrency in online gaming and digital marketplaces. The deal centers on integrating Crypto.com Pay into NEXPACE’s services, creating a more streamlined payment experience for players.
Good to know
The main focus of the partnership is to enable cryptocurrency transactions within NEXPACE’s games and platforms. Crypto.com Pay will let players use digital currencies for in-game purchases, aiming to make payments faster and more efficient. The companies hope this will lower barriers for players interested in using crypto and encourage wider adoption.
Both firms see the partnership as a step toward broader innovation. They intend to develop blockchain-based features like NFT integration, gamer rewards systems, co-marketing efforts, and new user experiences powered by Web3 technology.
Eric Anziani, President and COO of Crypto.com, said the deal reflects their goal to offer secure and smooth digital payments to a new generation of gamers. “We are excited to collaborate with NEXPACE to bring new possibilities to the gaming world,” he said.
Sunyoung Hwang, CEO of NEXPACE, shared that the partnership fits well with their aim to build open, accessible digital economies. “Integrating Crypto.com Pay allows us to make blockchain gaming even more user-friendly,” she added.
As the Web3 arm of Nexon, NEXPACE is leading the company’s blockchain expansion. Nexon is behind global hits like MapleStory and KartRider, and currently runs over 100 games across nearly 200 countries. NEXPACE is already working on MapleStory Universe, a project blending gaming with blockchain infrastructure.
By linking Crypto.com’s payment tools with NEXPACE’s gaming content, the partnership represents another step in blending Web3 capabilities with mainstream digital entertainment.
