The creators of the Telegram-based puzzle game Catizen had planned to release their CATI crypto token in July. As the month ends, they have addressed the community’s concerns, admitting to a delay in the token launch and recognizing the growing frustration among players.
Pluto Studio, the developer behind Catizen, has yet to set a new launch date for the token on The Open Network (TON). The studio explained that unexpected challenges during planning led to this delay. “Delaying our airdrop was a difficult decision, and we understand the community’s high hopes for an earlier airdrop, the investment involved, and the emotions attached,” they wrote on Twitter. “We are doing everything we can to achieve the best possible airdrop outcome for the community, while also considering the long-term development and sustainability of the CATI token.”
Pluto Studio aims to ensure a successful token listing by securing leading exchanges, ensuring sufficient liquidity, providing trading options, and determining the listing price. However, they must also consider compliance and market sentiment, which are not entirely within their control. “We aim to optimize the key elements of a successful listing,” they added. “Unfortunately, while we can focus on elements that are within our control, there are aspects that are not entirely under our control.”
To reassure the community, Pluto Studio stated that team members, seed round investors, and advisors would face a 12-month cliff, preventing them from accessing any tokens until a year after the launch. Afterward, their tokens will vest gradually over the next 48 months. This approach aims to align long-term incentives and ensure the token’s sustainability.
Recently, Pluto Studio secured strategic funding from Binance Labs and The Open Platform (TOP), further solidifying their position in the market. Additionally, Catizen reached a milestone of 25 million players, highlighting its popularity among Telegram-based crypto games like Hamster Kombat, Notcoin, Yescoin, Tapswap, and W-Coin.
Despite the current delay, Pluto Studio remains committed to delivering a successful CATI token launch, ensuring the community’s patience and investment pay off in the long run.
