As part of its ongoing VIRTUAL G-SHOCK project, Casio Computer Co., Ltd. has revealed an interesting cooperation with STEPN GO, a move-and-earn Web3 lifestyle app. Four distinct virtual sneakers will be showcased in a limited edition of 800 NFTs as part of this cooperation. These unique digital assets can be obtained from August 26 to 29 through a Raffle Mint on Mooar, STEPN GO’s NFT marketplace.
The VIRTUAL G-SHOCK project, which began in September 2023, aims to expand the G-SHOCK brand’s reach by blending its iconic design with the dynamic Web3 space. STEPN GO, known for rewarding users for movement and social engagement, adds a new dimension to this initiative. By integrating NFT sneakers into their platform, they offer users a chance to earn cryptocurrency by simply staying active.
The G-SHOCK-inspired NFT sneakers are crafted with attention to detail, incorporating the distinctive colors, shapes, and structures of the G-SHOCK G-SQUAD line. These designs not only captivate in virtual environments but also emphasize the brand’s shock-absorbing qualities, particularly during physical activities like running or walking.
Yawn Rong, co-founder of FSL, the Web3 development studio behind STEPN GO, shared his enthusiasm about the collaboration: “We are always hoping to bring more long-established companies and diverse intellectual properties into STEPN GO to encourage more people to find out about our Web3 lifestyle apps. This collaboration with Casio is extremely important to FSL as a whole, based on our grand vision of promoting mainstream Web3 adoption.”
This partnership marks another milestone in STEPN GO’s mission to introduce traditional brands to the world of Web3, reinforcing the potential for mainstream adoption of decentralized applications.
