Carrieverse Co on Thursday launched its Web3 metaverse game, ‘Carrieverse’, globally. The game, anticipated by over 1.2 million users who pre-registered, particularly from Vietnam and Indonesia, marks a significant step in the company’s expansion into the digital entertainment sphere.
Following its initial rollout on the Asia 1 server on August 17th, 2023, Carrieverse has seen its presence grow across various regions, including a notable launch in India in November 2023, which saw daily active users soar past 10,000. The game’s popularity continued to climb, reaching over 30,000 daily visitors after its introduction in Thailand and South America. This surge in engagement has translated into financial success, particularly in Thailand where Carrieverse climbed to 19th in overall app rankings and 5th among casual games in terms of gross revenue. To date, the game has been downloaded over 500,000 times.
The game’s economy has also seen positive trends, with the trading volume of its governance token, $CVTX, on the rise since the announcement of the global launch at the end of March. A significant update in March, ahead of the worldwide release, introduced new features and events, including fishing, which has become a central element of gameplay. This update introduced automatic fishing and gauge difficulty adjustments, significantly boosting user numbers and sales. Moreover, a global fishing competition and a community airdrop event, offering rewards up to $2,000, are set to take place on April 1st.
David Yoon, CEO of Carrieverse, shared his optimism about the game’s future, especially with the influx of players from Vietnam and Indonesia. He mentioned, “game statistics are expected to increase” and highlighted the development of a healthy ecosystem characterized by growing on-chain data, such as wallet creation and the conversion of $CVTX tokens. The increased incineration of Celeb, which can be exchanged for $CVTX, is also contributing to the game’s and the token’s value appreciation.
