The Saudi Esports Federation, the governing body in charge of growing the gaming community and industry in Saudi Arabia, has formed an unprecedented partnership with British Esports, the leading national organization for esports in the UK. The global esports business has advanced thanks to this ground-breaking alliance.
The historic union is being formally announced at the same time as the first-ever Esports Trade Mission to Saudi Arabia by the UK Department for Business and Trade. The goal of the trade mission is to forge relationships and investigate potential in the developing Saudi Arabian esports market.
Both esports federations have formally agreed to cooperate in order to take esports to new heights under the terms of this agreement. An special reception in Riyadh, held by UK Ambassador Neil Crompton, served as the official beginning of the cooperation. HRH Prince Faisal Bin Bandar bin Sultan, the head of the Saudi Esports Federation, and Chester King, the CEO of British Esports, attended the event.
A broad range of programs, activities, and events focused at developing esports talent form the foundation of this partnership. Internships, mentorships, boot camps, esports training programs, educational initiatives, and group research projects are a few examples of these.
As part of the deal, prominent esports athletes from the UK and Saudi Arabia will compete in tournaments hosted by British Esports and Saudi Esports. In 2024, these contests will be held at Gamers8 and the National Esports Performance Campus in Sunderland.
Through this collaboration, both federations demonstrate their dedication to promoting global cooperation and boosting the esports industry’s expansion. It signals the beginning of an exciting time for opportunity, investment, and growth.
