Big Time Studios is preparing for the much awaited December 2, 2024, release of the Player vs. Player (PvP) mode for their popular NFT game Big Time. The new PvP aspect of the game promises to provide fierce, strategic conflicts, adding even more excitement to the already well-liked game after an exciting Preseason phase with a record-breaking number of participants.
Big Time, a multiplayer action RPG, blends fast-paced combat with a successful open-game economy. The game is set in a universe where the fate of humanity hangs in the balance as various historical eras collide. Players join forces to explore dungeons, gather rare collectibles, and battle enemies, all while interacting with blockchain-based game elements. With the addition of PvP, players will have the opportunity to compete directly against one another, utilizing their $BIGTIME tokens for entry into PvP events.
“We’re excited to bring players a new layer of challenge and competition with PvP,” said Big Time Studios. The PvP mode involves 30-45 minute battles where teams vie for control of a central objective, fighting against both enemies and rival teams. The winning team claims the $BIGTIME prize, making every match a high-stakes experience.
To enter the PvP mode, players will navigate to the Epoch City hub, where they can register and pay an entrance fee with $BIGTIME. Once inside, teams of players can strategize and choose their class before beginning their PvP journey. Each match requires players to advance through the Tendril to the central arena, where they’ll face fierce opposition. Guardians and rival teams will challenge their every move, adding to the excitement of claiming victory.
“Players will need to outgun, outman, and outlast their rivals to claim the prize,” said the studio. Strategic use of Pocket Watches, which provide unique abilities, will be essential in securing control of the central point and ensuring victory.
Big Time has already made history with its Early Access success, boasting over $443 million in marketplace volume and engaging hundreds of thousands of players. As the game introduces this exciting PvP mode, it further cements its status as the leading NFT video game of 2024.
