B3, a blockchain gaming platform built on Base, has acquired custom PC builder Andromeda Insights in a move aimed at building a gaming machine designed for Web3 users. The upcoming product, called B3PC, is being described as a purpose-built desktop for crypto gamers, set for release in early 2026.
Good to know
The B3PC will include the usual high-end PC specs expected for pro-level gaming, but what sets it apart are features tailored to crypto gamers. The desktop will ship with a Trezor Safe 5 built-in, an instant internet disconnection function, and two unique security buttons—one that wipes the hard drive, and another that physically destroys the memory chip.
Pricing has not yet been announced, but Andromeda’s current PC lineup ranges between $1,400 and $4,900. Preorders are now open for US customers only, requiring a refundable $200 deposit.
In addition to the hardware, owners will gain access to exclusive drops and digital content on the B3 blockchain. This mirrors the strategy used by other crypto-connected devices such as Solana’s Saga phone and Sui’s SuiPlay0X1 portable console.
The B3PC is part of B3’s wider strategy to create a full-stack ecosystem that goes beyond just software. The goal is to build a setup where hardware, apps, and blockchain infrastructure all work together to support crypto-based gaming.
“Andromeda Insights and B3 are committed to the ongoing evolution of the gaming industry and are working together to catalyze innovation at the intersection of performance and ownership,” said Andromeda’s founder and CEO Matt Huffman, who will stay on in his role.
NPC Labs CTO Sean Geng added, “We’re creating hardware that acknowledges the reality of today’s gaming community – people who game also participate in Web3 ecosystems, and need equipment built for all their lifestyle needs.”
Andromeda has sold more than $5 million worth of custom-built PCs since 2022, relying mostly on word-of-mouth marketing. The official reveal of the B3PC is scheduled for July 2025.
