The seventh season of Axie Infinity Origins, dubbed the Rare Era, has officially commenced, marking an exciting period for the Lunacian community. The season, spanning seven weeks (49 days), is structured into different eras: two weeks each for the Epic and Mystic phases, followed by a one-week Final era. The climax of the season will be the Elite 8 Tournament, set to crown the ultimate champion of Season 7, with more details about the tournament to be revealed soon.
Major updates have been implemented, including modifications to the Leaderboard reward system, enhanced AXP emissions, the introduction of a Collectible Leaderboard, and an expanded inventory in the Origins shop to facilitate players’ progress throughout the season.
One major innovation this season is the Hybrid Leaderboard reward system, combining AXS and SLP tokens as rewards for top performers. The leaderboard now extends to the top 20,000 positions, providing a broader scope for Lunacians to compete and earn rewards. Approximately $641,000 USD worth of AXS and SLP tokens are at stake, with specific amounts allocated for each era. The inclusion of SLP in the reward pool aims to assist players in transitioning smoothly between eras.
The daily AXP cap per axie in Origins has been raised, with the new formula being 1,500 times the axie’s level. For instance, a level 10 axie can now earn up to 15,000 AXP daily. The AXP emissions in Arena have also been increased, scaling with players’ ranks. AXP can be earned in various ways, including ‘no stamina’ matches, with specific conditions applied to avoid abuse of the system. Additionally, players can earn AXP in Arcade Mode for a more casual gaming experience.
To further boost AXP accumulation, the AXP Booster, a new item in the Origins Shop, has been introduced. It comes in three variants and offers a decent boost in AXP gains. This enhancement is particularly beneficial for Collectible axies, which receive additional AXP bonuses.
Runes and Charm Boxes will soon be available in the Origins Shop, offering players a chance to enhance their axies for leaderboard competition. These mystery boxes contain random Runes and Charms and will be available for purchase during each era.
A new Collectible Leaderboard system is being trialed this season, specifically for Collectible axie holders. This separate leaderboard comes with its own set of rules and point systems, offering a total prize pool of 4,000 AXS for the season. The distribution of these prizes will be announced in the near future.
Also, Summer axies are now eligible for Collectible rewards, broadening the scope for entry-level collectors and encouraging more players to engage in collecting activities. Additionally, ‘Collector Tickets’ will be distributed after each era, which can be converted to AXS at the season’s end.
Crafting has also undergone changes, with new Gem Recipes introduced and adjustments to the chances of obtaining selected Classes. Furthermore, the Ancient Moonstone has been enhanced, offering a greater chance of obtaining a Rune.
Players who took a break during the off-season can catch up with all the balancing updates and changes in the Public Changelog Sheet, ensuring they are fully informed as they dive back into the Origins gameplay.
