Axie Infinity has announced a major update for its Axie Origins game, introducing an evolution system for Axies. This significant development, fulfilling a six-year promise, transforms the virtual world of Lunacia and adds a new dynamic to the game.
The core of this update is the evolution of Axies. They are now dynamic NFTs that can evolve, offering strategic benefits in combat. Each Axie receives a health boost per level, with additional bonuses for each Ascension level. This enhancement is a critical change, especially for players focused on competitive gameplay.
In detail, the evolution involves Effect Enhancements for 42 out of 192 parts, while the remaining 150 parts will see a Statistical Increase. This evolution significantly boosts Axies’ power in battles.
Alongside the evolution system, Axie Infinity has announced a balance patch, which will be active from January 3. This patch sets the stage for Axie Origins Season 7, starting mid-January. The adjustments, informed by data from Season 6 and player feedback, aim to refine gameplay.
Players have a preparatory offseason before these changes take effect in Season 7. This period allows for strategizing in anticipation of the new challenges and opportunities that the upcoming season will present.
