Animoca Brands Joins AWS and Polygon in Web3 Accelerator Launch

Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Polygon Labs last week announced the MoonRealm Express Accelerator, a novel initiative in collaboration with Animoca Brands. This program is designed to bolster the development of Web3 products and solutions, particularly through the Mocaverse project. Its primary aim is to empower builders globally in emerging sectors like decentralized identity, SocialFi, and GameFi. It encourages the creation of innovative ideas and solutions on the Mocaverse platform.

MoonRealm Express Accelerator focuses on nurturing aspiring builders, aiding them in transforming their concepts into tangible real-world solutions. It supports the entire growth cycle of a Web3 startup, from the genesis of creative ideas to offering Web3 masterclasses, organizing builder-centric hackathons, and incubating high-quality projects.

The first group in the MoonRealm Express Accelerator program will concentrate on enhancing the Mocaverse ecosystem. This includes leveraging the recent introduction of Moca ID and Realm Points on the Polygon chain. The program’s inaugural hackathon, scheduled for early 2024, will challenge builders to create protocols that utilize the Moca ID on-chain identity ecosystem and incorporate Realm Points as key assets.

The hackathon will feature categories like Web3 Identity, Web3 Social, and Web3 Growth. The aim is to position Mocaverse as a leading platform for Web3 loyalty programs, leveraging Animoca Brands’ expertise, AWS’s robust capabilities, and Polygon Labs’ vast network. This collaboration spans Web3, cloud, AI, and blockchain technologies.

AWS, as a crucial partner of the MoonRealm Express Accelerator, plans to invest $1.1 million to support up to 500 eligible startups in the first cohort. AWS will provide cloud resources, technical masterclasses on developing Web3 applications and games, exposure to venture capital, go-to-market support, and more.

Polygon Labs will contribute through workshops, offering knowledge and skills essential for success in Web3. They will also provide cash bounties for hackathons and vouchers for services in the Polygon ecosystem to assist startups.
