Bondex, a UK-based crowdsourcing recruitment app, recently received a strategic investment from Animoca Brands. This investment aims to enhance Bondex’s platform, which already boasts over 1.5 million active users each month.
Since 2021, the Bondex app has been downloaded over 5 million times and now has over 1 million monthly active users. The company plans to launch its native utility token later this year. The new funding will be used to improve the platform and integrate it with Animoca Brands’ ecosystem. Bondex is preparing for a token launch and plans to expand the app throughout the year.
Ignacio Palomera, founder and CEO of Bondex, also shared his excitement: “We’re thrilled to be able to reach broader horizons within the world of Web3 and beyond with the help of Animoca Brands. This is a significant milestone for Bondex, as well as for the Web3 recruitment landscape overall. We’re excited to broaden networks through the wide arms of Animoca Brands, allowing us to reach more users with their help.”
Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands, expressed his enthusiasm: “Bondex is changing the game for future recruitment through Web3, enabling blockchain technology and the power of referrals to innovate against legacy platforms. We’re excited to be a part of that journey and look forward to introducing the Web3 professional network across the Animoca Brands ecosystem.”
Bondex has partnered with several recruiting companies, including Binance, Blockchain.com, Chainlink, and Ankr. The platform simplifies the hiring process while incorporating Web3 reward mechanisms. Palomera mentioned that LinkedIn is Bondex’s biggest competitor due to its vast database of passive candidates.
Bondex focuses on recruitment referrals, using a gamified app to source and manage talent, while offering referral rewards. Users can earn incentives by recommending suitable candidates to recruiters. Since its launch in August 2021, Bondex has raised over $3 million in funding from investors like Chainlink and C2 Ventures.
Animoca Brands, known for advancing digital property rights in gaming and the open metaverse, supports Bondex’s growth in the Web3 space. Animoca Brands has invested in over 400 Web3 projects and aims to contribute to the open metaverse.
“We’re delighted to onboard Animoca Brands not just as a strategic partner and investor but also as a recruiter on the platform,” says CEO Palomera.
