AlphaTON Capital Aims to Acquire Controlling Interest in GAMEE

Animoca Brands and AlphaTON Capital Corp. have announced a non-binding letter of intent that could reshape Web3 gaming inside the fast-growing Telegram ecosystem. The proposed deal involves AlphaTON acquiring a controlling interest in GAMEE, Animoca’s Web3 gaming subsidiary that has already logged more than 10 billion gameplay sessions and counts over 119 million registered users worldwide.

Under the letter of intent, AlphaTON Capital would acquire a 51% equity stake in GAMEE, along with 51% of the GMEE and WAT tokens held in GAMEE’s treasury. In addition, AlphaTON intends to purchase up to $3 million worth of GMEE tokens and $1 million of WAT tokens on the open market, reinforcing its commitment to building a strategic TON reserve.

The agreement is not yet finalized and remains subject to standard closing conditions and the execution of definitive contracts. Still, if completed, it could represent a landmark moment for Web3 gaming, bringing one of Telegram’s most popular gaming platforms into the fold of a Nasdaq-listed digital asset company.
