Web3 sports gaming platform 5TARS.io is shifting to the Concordium blockchain, bringing its existing games and future releases to a more scalable Layer 1 infrastructure. The transition, set for completion by late March, includes the migration of its flagship title, 5TARS Football, which has attracted over 250,000 registered users and 20,000 monthly active players.
5TARS Football has built a strong community, with more than 200,000 followers across X, Telegram, and Discord. Players have joined over 1.7 million arenas and traded 45,000 NFTs. The game saw its highest engagement during Euro 2024, reaching 45,000 active players at its peak.
By moving to Concordium, 5TARS.io will gain access to features such as age verification and geo-fencing, making compliance easier as the platform expands. The migration will also improve scalability and performance, addressing previous challenges with the SKALE EVM chain.
Alongside 5TARS Football, new games are in development. A cricket game designed for the Indian market is set to launch in Q3, while the Starzplay MENA cricket game, which debuted on Concordium last month, will continue to grow.
Concordium’s infrastructure offers high-speed transactions and privacy-focused identity verification using zero-knowledge proofs. These features are particularly useful for gaming, online betting, and digital asset management, where compliance and security are key concerns.
