Bitci.com exchange signs deal with Formula 1 team McLaren

Turkish cryptocurrency exchange, Bitci.com have signed a sponsorship deal with McLaren Racing, thereby becoming the official partner of the Formula 1 racing team.

The official announcement made on Wednesday detailed a long-term partnership without specifying the exact period of the deal. Under the partnership, the logo of the crypto exchange will feature on the racing cars as well as on the helmets of their drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris. The agreement further includes a special token project for the Formula 1 team.

Commenting on the deal, Bitci Technology chairman of the board, Ça?da? Ça?lar, stated that they are very proud and happy to be taking the lead in such an agreement and said:

“Formula 1 is among the most acclaimed and watched sports organizations in the world. The fact that McLaren Racing, one of the most outstanding teams of this organization and considered as one of the legends of Formula 1 all over the world with its successes, has chosen to corporate with a Turkish blockchain company for this project is very significant as this is the solid proof for the global success of Turkish entrepreneurs, engineers and software developers.”

Ça?da? further commented on the popular use of blockchain technology, opening up much wider horizons for all institutions, especially sports clubs.

“Formula 1, more than any other event in the world, undoubtedly leads in innovation, research and development. In an industry where new technologies are at the forefront, Bitci will stand by with technological infrastructure that we trust will enable our business partner, McLaren Racing, to achieve even greater success.”

Confirming the deal. McLaren Racing Chief Commercial Officer Mark Waller, said:

“We are delighted to announce Bitci.com as an official partner of our McLaren F1 team. This long-term partnership with the brand and our introduction of a fan token will be the first of its kind in this sport. We look forward to working with Bitci.com and seeing the brand for the first time on the MCL35M at the start of the 2021 Formula 1 season in Bahrain this weekend.”

It is not a first for Bitci.com to partner with a sports organization. It currently has partnerships with prominent European football clubs Glasgow Rangers, Real Betis and Eski?ehirspor

The Formula 1 Championship season kicks of this weekend in Bahrain with the Grand Prix on Sunday starting at 11am ET. Bitci.com will not be the only one to represent cryptocurrency in Bahrain. Aston Martin’s Racing Team are in a partnership with Crypto.com and have a place reserved for them on their race cars.
