Strategy continued adding to its Bitcoin reserves even as crypto prices and related equities remain under pressure.

Good to Know

  • Strategy purchased 1,142 BTC for about $90 million
  • Total holdings now stand at 714,644 Bitcoin
  • BTC trades near $68,200, down over 10 percent in one week

While Bitcoin trades below recent highs, Michael Saylor and his firm Strategy pushed forward with another acquisition.

Saylor confirmed the company bought 1,142 Bitcoin for roughly $90 million at an average price of about $78,815 per coin. The latest purchase lifts total corporate holdings to 714,644 Bitcoin.

Those coins were acquired for approximately $54.35 billion at an average cost basis of around $76,056 per BTC. Strategy trades on Nasdaq under the ticker MSTR and remains the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin worldwide. The company also stands as the first public firm to designate Bitcoin as its sole treasury reserve asset.

The timing of the purchase contrasts with current price action. Bitcoin trades near $68,200 at the time of writing, reflecting a decline of 10.8 percent over the past week. Crypto linked equities have also faced pressure amid broader market volatility.

Despite the downturn, Strategy continues its long term accumulation approach. The firm has consistently added to its holdings during both rising and falling price cycles, reinforcing a treasury model built entirely around Bitcoin exposure.

Market analysts often track Strategy activity as a signal of institutional conviction. Each acquisition increases corporate balance sheet exposure to digital assets, while also tightening available supply in circulation.

With more than 700,000 Bitcoin under custody, Strategy position represents a meaningful share of the total Bitcoin supply, placing the company at the center of discussions about corporate crypto strategy and treasury diversification.
