Coinbase, Fabric Ventures, Animoca Brands, and Founders Factory have joined forces to launch a new multi-million-pound accelerator designed to boost blockchain, Web3, and AI startups in the United Kingdom. Announced on April 28, 2025, the initiative aims to strengthen the country’s position in the global innovation race.

The accelerator offers up to £250,000 in funding and 16 weeks of intensive operational training through Founders Factory’s established program. Startups will also gain access to expertise from Animoca Brands, Coinbase, and Fabric Ventures, covering areas such as tokenomics, community-driven go-to-market strategies, and scaling businesses in blockchain and AI sectors.
Keith Grose, UK CEO of Coinbase, shared his view: “With deep reservoirs of talent, capital, sophisticated regulators and leading academic institutions, the UK is well positioned to benefit from these opportunities. However, ensuring that these products and services are born out of the UK is vital. For too long, access to capital, mentorship and resources has held back this ambition. This significant investment changes that.”
Business and Trade Secretary Jonathan Reynolds welcomed the move, stating, “This announcement is a strong vote of confidence in the UK’s tech sector — underlining our position as a global leader in innovation. Not only will it ensure that the UK remains a key leader in blockchain technology but will also unlock growth as we deliver on the Plan for Change.”
Startups accepted into the accelerator will work directly with world-class specialists, culminating in a demo day designed to attract a curated set of top-tier investors, giving founders a better chance to secure Seed or Series A funding.
