New Jersey is one of the biggest gaming markets in the US and the state has so far regulated online casino and poker games, establishing their position as the biggest market in the US so far. The state has been working towards regulating sports betting as well for a long period of time and continues to fight for the right to be able to offer their citizens sports betting.
Should it end out being positive, one of the world's biggest bookmakers, William Hill, is standing ready to provide sports betting for the state under controlled and regulated conditions. William Hill wants to open up their “William Hill Race and Sports Book”, similar to what they have opened up in Nevada throughout different casinos.
William Hill already signed an agreement to open up a sports bar in the Monmouth Park Casino, hoping that a deal would be finalized soon between New Jersey and the senate. It will be interesting to see if New Jersey will receive acceptance to open betting shops under regulated conditions soon or if it will be a long drag before a decision is made.
