Will Hill’s mobile gaming revenues boost

During H1 2013, William Hill’s mobile gaming revenues increased 198 percent and predicts that by mid-2015, mobile gambling will make up 40 percent of their online revenues. Their iOS app launched in February 2012, Mobile Sportsbook, has been downloaded more than one million times and their wagering increased by 112 percent in H1 representing 38 percent of total sportsbook bets.

During the month of June, the company averaged £21 million every week through its mobile application and last year’s figure was £9.4 million. It is expected that bets will take a huge increase with next year’s World Cup.

As online bets grow exponentially, retail and over-the-counter bets fall 2 and 5 percent respectively compared to H1 2012 while sports revenues were up 44 percent.
