Australia go to the WACA Perth with a 2-0 lead. The punters see the hosts stretching the lead further and claiming the Ashes series at the venue of the 3rd Ashes test.
Mitchell Starc is tipped to be the man of the test. There is a slight doubt that Mitchell Starc is a serious threat to the visitors on the WACA wicket which has a pace-friendly reputation.
The spearhead of the bowling attack is tipped to have a great game. Bookmakers offer Starc at 5/6 with 140.5 player performance points, at 20 points per wicket, 10 per catch and 1 per run. The left-arm pace bowler has busted the 140.5 mark nine times so far. His fellow paceman Pat Cummins is next best bowler, available at 5/6 with 111.5 performance points.
Among the batsmen, David Warner who has a tremendous record at the WACA is the second best available at 11/4, only behind his skipper Steven Smith who has the odds of 9/4. At Perth, Warner has amassed 803 runs in five tests at the venue while Smith has 368 runs in front of his name. Warner has made three test hundreds at Perth compared to Smith's two test tons.
The hosts, Australia, have been clinical in the first two games of the series so far. They had registered a massive win by 10 wickets in the 1st test at Brisbane. The second test at Adelaide was relatively closely fought but Australia came out on top in the end and won by 120 runs.
England has announced that they will field an unchanged XI at the Perth while Australia has not named their XI yet. However, Mitchell Marsh is quite likely to replace Peter Handscomb as the all-rounder gives the hosts a fifth bowling option.
The two teams have been playing The Ashes series for the last 135 years. As of now, the series tally is currently locked at 32-32.
