The Bulgarian sports news provider Sportal has entered a partnership with Oddslife, which will allow them to create their own social sports betting product. Sportal and Oddslife signed a three-year deal with each other back in January and now they are launching their first product together, with the World Cup in Brazil coming up.

The world cup themed game will launch June 2nd and will also have club teams to follow before the start of the 2014-2015 season. The social betting platform will encourage users to compete against each other and friends in the free-to-play prediction model. There will be tournaments, competitions and other special features to make it fun to play.

Oddslife’s platform is full of unique features to help get the users started and to keep them playing, having missions, trophies, achievements, leaderboards as well as prizes so that they can show off in front of their friends.

“We think this social betting offer is extremely engaging and entertaining and believe our customers think so as well, we are especially excited about the global competitions where our fans will battle it out against other media partners across countries.” Stilian Shishkov, CEO of Sportal said.

Besides Sportal, the agreement will also include the Spanish MARCA, the Danish Bold.dk, Greek SportDay, SportFM and the Nova Group. With all of these brands having access to the unique system, the stage has been set for something big this summer.

“We are delighted that Sportal have embraced the social sports betting concept so enthusiastically,” CEO of Oddslife, Rasmus Sojmark said. “As one of the major media providers in Bulgaria they are a perfect partner for us. We will provide them with market leading software, consultancy and local country support and in return they provide us with marketing budgets and local operational expertise which are invaluable to any local partnership.”
