Sky Racing World Partners with New York Racing Association

Sky Racing, an international horse-racing content distributor based out of Kentucky, announced a partnership with the New York Racing Association (NYRA) earlier this week. NYRA is a horse-racing operator and the agreement with Sky Racing will see NYRA using Sky Racing’s advance deposit wagering (ADW) and stream the races taking place in New Zealand, Australia and South Africa live.

Sky Racing is a subsidiary of Tabcorp, which is one of the world’s leading wagering and entertainment groups. The agreement between the two parties will provide thousands of horse-race interested bettors with a chance to follow races abroad.

“I’m delighted for us to partner with a US horse-racing wagering operator of the caliber of the New York Racing Association,” said David Haslett, President and CEO of Sky Racing World. “Their NYRA Rewards brand is one of the major ADW sites in the country, and now their players can wager on the Melbourne Cup 2015 and thousands of other Australasian and South African races, providing them access to some of the best International thoroughbred racing.”

It will be interesting to see if the US bettors will be interested in betting on races taking place abroad, even if the time difference is several hours.
