Poker popular among Man-U players

When it comes to football and poker, there is more in common than what meets the eye. This might be the reason why recently, footballers have been spotted playing poker or slots at online casinos or taking part in live poker tournaments.

Ex-former player from Manchester United, Teddy Sheringham, is considered to be the most popular player who has found a keen interest in the world of poker, where, still as a professional player, he played in American casinos.

Back in 2009, he joined the World Series Europe tournament ending up in 14th place and in 2009, he reached the final table at the European Poker Tournament Vilamoura Main Event, coming in on 5th place and winning more than $100,000.
