Pinnacle Debuts with Wagers on CrossFit Open 2017

Sports betting operator Pinnacle, which holds licenses for the Curacao and Malta markets, is pioneering in a brand new direction. As a matter of fact, it will be the first bookmaker to take bets on the sport of Crossfit, a blend of fitness programs incorporating aerobic and muscle conditioning elements.

The debut will involve wagers on the CrossFit Open 2017 competition. The contest develops in three stages, beginning with the CrossFit Open Run from Feb 23 to March 27 where participants complete “Crossfit Open training challenges” either through sending in videos or performing the workouts in the presence of a judge. Successful contestants then progress to the Regional Finals and the Main Event.

Pinnacle’s CEO Paris Smith commented that the company was very excited to look into such a new and exciting sport.Marketing Director Harry Lang added, “Pinnacle is known for bet market innovation and the rapid rise in popularity of Crossfit as both a participation and spectator sport means betting opportunities were the natural evolution.”
