Paddy Power Strikes Again – Erects David Moyes Statue at Anfield Road

Paddy Power unveiled a David Moyes statue at Anfield Road yesterday, prior to the Liverpool – Chelsea game. The statue had been placed there to give the Liverpool fans a chance to thank Moyes for the chance to finally win a championship as well as to mock the coach of their rival team.

The statue is a 11 feet tall bronze statue, which depicts David Moyes in his common troubled face pose and have a platter saying “David Moyes for services to Liverpool Football Club – Paddy Power”. While it is without a doubt a low blow on Moyes, Paddy Power has once again managed to get the media’s attention and get the popularity of both Liverpool fans as well as those Man Utd fans that disliked Moyes all along.

“The Moyes and Manchester United pairing may have had none of the magic of a drunken Tinder date, but there’s no doubt he’s the ‘chosen one’ for the Liverpool faithful who’ve also enjoyed seeing their club go from strength to strength this season,” A spokesperson from Paddy Power said to the press.
