Paddy Power Refunds Bets on Mario Balotelli as Topscorer

The Irish-based bookmaker Paddy Power has made a refund for all bets placed prior to the Premier League season start, on Mario Balotelli to become the topscorer. The terrible start from the Italian striker, who was set to replace Luis Suarez, has led to problems on the field, with the fans, with the coach and the management of Liverpool for Balotelli.

In total there has been five figure sums betted on Balotelli to become the Premier League topscorer, but Paddy Power and everyone else has already given up on him. In the last round, Balotelli had a completely open goal and still missed, sparking fury with the Liverpool fans who wants him to not play anymore.

“Enough is enough and with not one goal scored in the Premier League and the lad acting like he hasn’t a care in the world, it’s about time our punters saw at least some return on the so called Super Mario.” A spokesperson from Paddy Power said in a press release.

“We won’t be having the shirt off anyone’s back and hope that our refund will help bring at least a small smile back to the Kop this weekend.” The spokesperson added.
