Pacquiao vs. Rios fight might yield highest amount of wagers in 2013

The fight between Manny Pacquiao and Brandon Rios is expected to be the most lucrative and wagered on boxing match of 2013. The odds on this fight could produce such profit amounts to whomever guesses how many rounds the fight would last, that they could represent a life-changing result.

Pacquiao and Rios say they are ready for the big match on NOvember 23rd at the Venetian Macao resort and casino in the Chinese city of Macau. The winner does not only claim bragging rights, there are also the WBO international walterweight championship title and the world title up for grabs.

Unlike the last high profile boxing match between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Saul Canelo Alvarez, the odds between Pacquiao and Rios are not that far apart. The Pacman is at -420 while Rios is at 320. Rios has never been KO’ed in his boxing career while Pacquiao has not been in the greatest of forms lately, so punters are divided as to the possible results of this bout.

But it looks like the most anticipation amongst punters is being caused by speculation as to how long the fight will last. Most bets being placed are regarding how many rounds are needed to declare the winner. Both fighters are knock-out specialists so it will be difficult to predict how long or how short this fight will be.
