The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office announced that a high and important gambling enterprise was taken down on Monday as part of operation “Shore Bet.”
Twenty-two were arrested and financial accounts were shut down after an 18-month investigation, said Christopher Gramiccioni, Monmouth County Prosecutor.
Gramiccioni also added that these operations is not only the arresting of those involved in the illegal activity, but also the dismantling of the organization behind it.
The illegal activity spread out from Monmouth County into Somerste, Essex and Hudson counties he said.
