The growth of the online gaming industry in the UK has risen sharply since 2008. According to research, in 2008 the industry was worth a respectable £1.27 billion and has grown to a total worth of £2 billion by 2012, which represents an 80% in growth. The biggest player in the industry is without doubt the betting giant William Hill which dominates 15% of the market. Other big players like Ladbrokes, Betfair and Bet365 each dominate 11% of the industry each.
