Ladbrokes Betting Shop Robbed by a Man in a Suit with a Hammer

Share

Once again a betting shop in the UK has been robbed, this time it was Ladbrokes’ betting shop in Bournemouth that was targeted, by a rather well dressed robber. The man showed up in a pinstriped suit and threatened the staff at the shop with a hammer, before running away with the few pounds he managed to get.

CCTV images of the robbery in action

The robbery took place around 6:24PM and the staff fully complied with his request of getting the money from the cashier. He was wearing a white shirt, pinstriped suit jacket and a laptop bag, not the typical look of a hammer thief. Nobody was injured in the robbery.

‘We were able to obtain very high quality CCTV images very quickly in relation to this incident,” Mark Samuel, Detective Inspector of Dorset Police said to the press. ‘I am hoping that somebody will be able to recognize the suspect from these photographs. I would ask anyone who recognizes him to contact Dorset Police urgently.”

“I am keen to speak with anyone who has any information about the incident or may have seen the man in the area of Christchurch Road.” Samuel ended.

The robber is described as being in his mid thirties, white and around 5ft 9ins tall, with semi curly hair. If you know the robber or have any information, please contact Dorset Police Department.
